Barbara Anne Dreyer

April 20, 1933 - February 18, 2022

Barbara Anne Dreyer passed on February 18 under the care of the wonderful doctors and staff at Ascension Providence Hospital – Novi Campus. She was comforted to the end and will be missed by family, friends and co-workers. Beloved wife of Robert Dreyer of 66 years. Loving mother of Cathy (Jerry) Barbierri, Ed (Karen) Dreyer and Patty (Clark) Semaan. Grandmother of Christen, Justen, Eric, Robert, Zach (Becca), Paige and Julia. Barb was born and raised in Bellevue, Ohio and after graduation from high school attended college at the Toledo University where she obtained a degree in Nursing. Over a long career as a registered nurse, she worked at several hospitals including her longest stint at the St Mary’s Mercy in Livonia, Michigan. Barb was hard working and dedicated to her profession having worked over 40 years. After retirement she continued to volunteer at hospitals and clinics to help others until COVID-19 prevented her participation. Her hobbies included reading novels, crossword puzzles and vacationing to warm locations around the world. She loved traveling to the Caribbean, Hawaii, Tahiti and other Pacific Islands. Disney World was a favorite and being able to see her children and grandchildren located in other states. She was blessed with 7 grandchildren and was able to attend her oldest grandson’s wedding this past September. She stayed in touch with each of her grandchildren and loved learning about their studies, adventures, and friends. She was the best at sending notes and cards to friends and family to let them know she was thinking of them. She also enjoyed gardening and working outside in her free time. She was beloved by all and will be missed by all. Private family services were held. Expressions of sympathy www.obriensullivanfuneralhome.com.
