In Loving Memory of Thomas Joseph Troske. Tom, aged 85, died peacefully on March 27, 2019 at Fox Run Retirement Community in Novi, Michigan. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Dee, his children: Ann Rohr (Matt), Janet Steigerwald, and Thomas M. Troske (Denise Graye). He is also survived by grandchildren Stephanie, Daniel, Theresa, and Brad. Tom was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Leo J. Troske and Stefane Jurewicz Troske on July 24, 1933. He grew up in Grand Rapids along with his older brother, Bob. He graduated from Ottawa Hills High School in Grand Rapids, earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan in 1955 and a Master's degree from Northwestern University in 1957 both in Economics. He had a 30 year career in management at Ford Motor Company. Tom and Dee built homes in Dearborn Heights, Livonia, Ludington, and Novi, Michigan. They also owned a condo in Harbor Springs, Michigan for 16 years that was the location of countless days of joy and shenanigans for Tom, Dee and their children and grandchildren and many lifelong friends. Tom loved the outdoors: an avid fisherman, traveler with Dee to America's National Parks, especially the Rockies and Alaska, and Morel mushroom hunter in the woods of northern Michigan, and could grill any meat or vegetable to perfection. A devoted U of M Sports fan, he watched every game his could, knew every player's name, number, and where he went to high school. He enjoyed cheering on the Tigers, Lions, Red Wings, and Pistons. A lifelong Roman Catholic, he was most recently a member of Holy Family parish in Novi. Memorial donations to the American Heart Association - Click here to contribute .
