Beloved son of Jacqueline Scrive and Ronald Hartman.
Dear grandson of the late Robert Willis and Gretchen Louse Hartman and Leon Raphael and Dorothy Jean Scrive.
Cherished nephew of Kathrine and Craig Dufresne.
Cousin of Christopher, Elizabeth and Jacqueline Casas.
Russell was a champion in the Illinois State Special Olympics. He was a gold medal recipient for the 100 meter, bronze medal for bowling, silver medal in district for softball throw and silver medal in district for swimming. He was on the High School Special Olympics basketball and track teams. He graduated from Dunlap Middle School in Dunlap, Illinois. His favorite sport was hockey, and he was a big fan of the Plymouth Whalers and Peoria Riverman.
Russell also loved car shows and meets.
Russell was Baptized and made his first communion at Our Lady of Victory in Northville. He made his confirmation at St. Mary's Cathedral in Peoria, IL.
Visitation at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River Ave. Novi, 248-348-1800, Sunday 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM.
In state at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 132 Orchard Dr. Northville, Monday 9:30 AM until the funeral liturgy at 10:00 AM.
