On Thursday, August 10th, 2023, Patricia Reilly Bott passed away peacefully in her home in Northville, Michigan. She was an amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She leaves behind a legacy of making people laugh, helping homeless pets and being a fiercely loyal friend and confidant.
She is survived by her daughters, Amy Reilly Walker and Cary Bott, her favorite son-in-law, Nathan Walker, her two Grandchildren, Keely and Bobby G Walker, her brother Michael Reilly and countless sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Patricia was born on November 14th, 1947, in Detroit, Michigan. She was so proud to be from Detroit. She grew up in Detroit with her dad (Michael Reilly), mom (Ruth Reilly) and two brothers (Michael "Mick" Reilly and James Reilly). She attended Precious Blood for elementary school and St. Francis De Sales for High School where she graduated in 1965. She married Glen "Buz" Bott in 1972 and they lived a life full of happiness and laughter until his passing in 2020. She spent much of her life as an OBGYN nurse. After her kids were born, she stayed home to raise them and then as soon as they were old enough, she went back to nursing but was also a sales rep for a Catholic School Uniform Company. In 1980, the family moved from South Lyon to Northville, Michigan where she resided for 43 years.
Patricia also spent all of her life giving back and helping dogs and the community. She volunteered at Our Lady of Victory as a wedding rehearsal coordinator, taught Sunday School and Catechism. She also rescued countless homeless dogs and found homes for them, needless to say, everyone in our family had at least one dog. She advocated for and opened a dog park in Northville, Michigan as well.
It is an understatement to say that Patricia loved ALL dogs. We are so happy she is not only reunited her husband and all those who passed before her but also her dogs- Butkus, Guido, Vinnie, Rico, and Carmine.
Patricia enjoyed spending her winters in Mexico, where she continued to give back by volunteering at a Sea Turtle Sanctuary and helping homeless dogs she would run into on the streets of Mexico. She also loved relaxing in the sun and meeting new friends.
Her entire life, Patricia made friends from all walks of life everywhere she went and spend hours talking to them all on the phone on a daily basis.
We will miss her contagious laughter, her opinions on everything from politics to Bravo TV and her unconditional love for all those who crossed her path. We will all carry her memory in our hearts.
Following the committal service at Great Lakes National Cemetery, a reception will be held at Cantoro's at 15550 N. Haggerty at 4pm. Everyone is invited to celebrate our mom's life.
In lieu of flowers, Patricia's family kindly asks for memorial donations to be made to the
