Patricia Goodnow, born April 7, 1952, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. A devoted wife, mother, and friend, Patricia lived a life rooted in kindness, curiosity, and unwavering affection.
Beloved wife of Fred for 50 wonderful years, Patricia cherished her family above all else. She was the loving mother of, Matthew (Kathy) Goodnow, Diana (Greg) Olesko, and the late Laura Goodnow. Her gentle spirit, thoughtful nature, and the way she never ended a conversation without saying "I love you" will be forever remembered and deeply missed.
A lifelong lover of words, Patricia found joy in stories—both those she read and those she created. Guided by a poet's heart and a learner's spirit, she enriched and uplifted everyone fortunate enough to know her. Patricia was also a master gardener, tending her flowers and plants with the same care and devotion she gave to the people she loved. Knowing her, we find comfort in imagining her now in God's garden of heaven, surrounded by beauty, peace, and light.
Above all, she was devoted to her family, offering endless support, encouragement, and warmth.
Visitation will be held at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River, Novi, on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at Oakland Hills Memorial Garden, Novi.
Patricia's love, wisdom, and gentle presence will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
