Norbert Phillip Stawara was born in Detroit, MI., on May 1st, 1930 to the late Frank and Stella (Piotroski) Stawara. Beloved husband of Theresa (Kobak) for 69 years. Loving father of Michael (Laura), Michelle (Chet) Jacques, Denise (Craig) Schmidt and Noreen. Proceeded in death by beloved son James (Susan). Proud grandfather of Emilie (Kevin) Meiselbach, Erin Van Tiem, Lauren (Brady) Crosby, Elizabeth Burr and Phillip Mithen. Beloved Dziadzia of Thomas, James, Chloe, Brooklyn, Kellen and Jordyn. Survived by siblings Frank (Joan), Patricia (Leonard), Jerome (Patricia), Leonard (Sandy) and Mark (Kathy). Proceeded in death by sister Bernadette. He loved and was loved by, multiple nieces and nephews. Norb retired from Ford Motor Company and enjoyed a long retirement filled with family, friends and hobbies. Visitation at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River Avenue, Novi, 248-348-1800, on Monday, October 14, 2019 from 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM with a scripture service at 7:00 PM. Instate Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at St. James Catholic Church, 46325 W 10 Mile Road, Novi from 10:00 AM until time of funeral liturgy 10:30 AM. Interment will take place at St. Hedwig Cemetery, Dearborn Heights, Michigan. Memorial donations to the charity of your choice.
