Kory Michael Ernster

January 27, 2000 – August 8, 2022

Beloved son of Stephen and Stephanie.

Loving brother of Kyle and Abigail.

Dear grandson of Steve and Sharon Linton and John and the late Kathleen Ernster.

Sweet nephew of Diane (Christopher) Brown, Marnie (Jon) Topping, and John (Aimee) Ernster.

Cherished cousin of Sara, Samantha, Benjamin, Gabrielle, Katie (Tim), John Taylor, Matthew, Joshua, Emilee and Joseph.

Boyfriend of Emily MacDonald who also perished while trying to save one another on that tragic day of their passing. They leave behind their sweet cat Spoon.

Kory was a graduate of Novi High school and most recently of Michigan State University.

He just started his career at Epic Systems in Madison, Wisconsin.

Kory's faith was important to him. In his younger years he was an alter boy at Holy Family Catholic Church and later helped the church as an Usher.

Kory was a kind soul with a fun-loving spirit and a personality that was a blessing for all those that surrounded him.

Visitation for Kory will be at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home in Novi, MI on Sunday August 14, 2022 beginning at 2pm until 6pm with a Rosary at 6pm.

A funeral mass will be held for Kory the following day Monday, August 15th, 2022 at the Church of the Holy Family with an instate period at 10am until time of liturgy at 11am

In lieu of flowers, Kory's family asks that you make donations to the Kory Ernster Memorial Scholarship which is through the Novi School District.
