John Joseph "Jay" Vendal age 77

July 21, 2021

Beloved husband of Patsy for 55 years.

Dear father of Suzette (Chris) Rebant, Victoria (Gary) Partin, John Vendal & Dean (Jamie) Vendal

Proud grandfather of Marsi, Brandon, Magen, John Bradley, Emily, Aydin, Mason, and Drake. Great Grandfather of Nevaeh, Lexi, Braelen, Faith, Scottie, Naya, Israel and Nathanael.

Brother of Agatha "Gay" (George) Butson, Richard (Paula), Larry (Nanette), William (The late Cindy). Many nieces and nephews that he loved and cared for very much.

Jay worked for 30 years in the automotive industry at GM/AAM Detroit Forge Plant and retired as the a superintendent of the Die Room. . He loved his family, golfing, bowling, fishing for walleye in Lake Erie, and hunting at Elmer's farm, he loved everything outdoors. He was one of the best storytellers of all time.

He was a life member of the George F. Monaghan Knights of Columbus.

A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday July 24, 2021 at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home 41555 Grand River Novi from 11:00am until the celebration of Jay's life at 12:30.
