Loving mother of Kathleen Mulligan, Mary Beth Mulligan,
Thomas J. Mulligan III, Patrick (Cindy) Mulligan, Matthew Mulligan, Monica (Todd) Muchow and Brian Mulligan. Grandmother of Nathaniel and Noah Dreyfuss, Michael Johnson, Jessica (Dan) Kahl, Paul (Breann), Steven, Julia (Jordan) Dupuy, Joanna, John, Michael, Phillip, Andrew, Jenna & Jaida, , Austin (Meghan) Muchow, Alexander, and Tyler. Preceded in death by sister Mary and brothers Albin and Chester Fallon.
Joanne was a devout Catholic. Graduate of St Florians In Detroit. In 1954, she married Thomas "Red" Mulligan. She raised 7 children and during the Dodge Brothers sitdown strike she would take lunch to Red through the fence. She worked as an operator at Michigan Bell as well as helping her brother Al work on his boat , "Ms. Great Lakes" and she also operated a broaching machine.She enjoyed playing cards with Red and going on casino trips. Through the 1960's and until now she was referred and respected by all her childrens' friends and known as "Mrs. Mulligan". Joanne also liked spending time in Oscoda, was very active with St. Eugenes Parish in Detroit and known by name throughout the Arch Diosese Clergy. Mrs. Mulligan was very proud of going to Cuba during their Revolution. Joanne also loved to cook anything that was from her Polish heritage.
Visitation at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home 41555 Grand River Ave, Novi, 248-348-1800 on Monday 2-8PM. NOTE: Visitation 10 am until Funeral Liturgy 10:30 am Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church 24505 Meadowbrook Rd. Novi
Interment White Chapel Cemetery..
