Jennie Pilch (nee Spoiala)
Age 87

Jennie passed away on August 6, 2020 Beloved wife of the late Willard. Loving mother of John (Colleen) and Carolyn (William)Chaney. Proud grandmother of Joseph, Amanda, and Christina. Dear sister of Olga Stockwell and the late Trian and Nick Spoiala. Loving aunt and great aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Jennie was born in Timmins, Ontario, Canada, on April 10, 1933 to the late George and Ileana Spoiala. As a teenager she moved to Windsor with her family where she spent her early adult years. She met her husband, Will, on a blind date, and they were married on June 16, 1956. As newlyweds, they moved to Novi, Michigan, where they enjoyed 58 wonderful years together.

Jennie worked as an administrative assistant at the Wixom Ford Plant until she became a mother. After raising her children, she returned to administrative work at the NIT Livonia and Southfield campuses where she worked for over ten years. After retirement, Jennie and Will enjoyed traveling together and spending quality time with family and friends.

Jennie endured a few health challenges in her later years but that never stopped her from enjoying life and having hope for the future. She was admired for her unwavering strength and positive attitude. Jennie was a good listener and had many cherished friends. She found pleasure in the simple things. Her family will always remember her for her love, her wisdom, and her generous heart. She will be greatly missed.

A private family service will be held at the Great Lakes Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. There will be a celebration of Jennie's life when conditions allow. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society in her name.
