Beloved husband of the late Rose Marie (Stewart) for 54 years.
Loving father of Beverly (Robert) Hatcher.
Proud grandfather of Becky (Ben) Rapp, Ryan Hatcher (Justin Cambridge) and great grandfather of Audrey and Sawyer Rapp.
Uncle of many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Jerry was a member of the USMC during WWII and fought in the battle of Okinawa, aboard the USS Cowpens. When he returned to Detroit, he became a member of the Detroit Police Department and served as an officer on the DPOA and LSA. He was a graduate of Wayne State University with a degree in Criminal Justice. Before returning to Michigan, Jerry resided in Port Richey, Florida where he enjoyed spending time playing golf, ping pong and living life to the fullest.
A memorial service will be held at O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home 41555 Grand River Novi Saturday April 22, 2017. The family will receive friends from 11:00am until the memorial service at Noon.
