Elsie Mae Bonnici, born on April 18, 1924 in Detroit, MI passed away on May 14, 2020. Elsie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother. She grew up in Corktown and attended St Vincent School where she met, and later married, Edward T Bonnici, the love of her life (d. 8/2013). Elsie leaves behind to carry on her legacy, 4 daughters: Linda (Lee) Kendziora of Ball Ground GA, Donna (Buff) Bousson of Troy, MI, Janis (Cary) Marakovitz of Milford, MI and Barb (Kevin) Arnson of Hudsonville, MI. She was grandmother of 12 (Lindsay d.1983), Great grandmother of 20 ½, plus many nieces, nephews, friends and her brother –in- law and his wife, (Larry & Margaret Bonnici).
Elsie enjoyed family summer vacations at Birch Shores Resort in Curtis, MI, golf, going out to lunch, travel, happy hour with a good martini, but, most of all, family and her Catholic faith. Elsie lived a lively 96 years and often reminded family, "we had a good life." She will be greatly missed and never forgotten. We will be having a memorial service at a later date due of Covid 19.
