Doris Isobel Hachtel, 82, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on Friday, December 13th after a short battle with cancer.
Doris was born November 11th, 1931 in Ripley, Ontario to Claude Milton and Grace Isobel Williams.
Doris had a love for the arts and antiques and one of her many accomplishments in life was opening The Painted Lady in Ogden, Utah.
Her greatest joy in life were her children and grandchildren.
Doris is survived by her daughters Jonci Cukier and husband David, Toni Hardy and husband Dr Phillip, Amanda Hachtel and husband Shaun, Anne Hachtel and Roxanne Webster and by her sons Randy Chamberlain and wife Dottie, Mark Hachtel and wife Carrie and Robert Joy.
She is also survived by 12 grandchildren: Adam, Aaron B, Aaron C, Alexandra, Brian, Cheryl, Courtney, Greg, Jason, Meghan, Melinda, Shellie, Stephen and 10 great grandchildren
Doris is also survived by her loving sister, Sally Chapman and family.
A viewing will be held at O'Brien Sullivan funeral home at 41555 Grand River Ave in Novi, Michigan on Sunday December 15th from 3-9pm.
In state at Solid Rock Bible Church at 670 Church Street, Plymouth, Michigan on Monday December 16 th from 10:00am until the funeral service at 11 am.
Procession to the Acacia Park Cemetery in Beverly Hills, Michigan will follow the service at Solid Rock.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
