Doris Elaine DeSilvio, age 88, died August 31, 2014 with her family by her side.

She was born September 11, 1925 in Ferndale to Fred and Rose Campbell.

She married Anthony James DeSilvio.

The raised 8 children together while living in Ohio and the Metro-Detroit area.

Doris was an active member of St. Ives Parish in Southfield, St. Coleman's Parish in Farmington Hills, and Holy Family in Novi.

She was devoted to her family and was quite the athlete.

She competed in numerous sports including bowling, softball and especially golf.

Doris is survived by her husband Anthony; children Carol (Paul) Steffanni, Gail Susan Mack, Mark (Betty), Debra (John) Hedrick, Janice (Neal) Miller, David, JoAnn (Bruce) Clifford, Sandra (David) Witt; 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and sister, Shirley Gervais.

She was preceded by her brothers Donald and Kenneth.

Visitation at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River Avenue, Novi 248-348-1800 Thursday 2-9 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm.

Instate Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church, 24505 Meadowbrook Road, Novi from 10:00 am until time of funeral liturgy 10:30 am.
