#1 Gerald, Wendy Bickel 2010-08-06 14:58 Todd, Reika and Kevin, we are deeply saddened by the death of your wife, your mother and our sister. We will treasure the last memories we had with her during her birthday last month. We feel very fortunate to spend this happy time with her and her parents. She was truly the sweetest and friendliest person I've ever met. We were honored to have her as a member of our family. She handled her illness with such strength and grace, even though she was dealing with a great deal of pain. Before every meal and before bedtime, for the past two years, Shawn and Emily have always said a special prayer for Michiyo (probably why Emily is able to pronounce her name better than Mom). While we are very sad for our loss, we know she will suffer no more. We know she will continue to be by our side in lifes good times and bad. We know her spirit will live in Reika and Kevin. We know she is happy. God Bless you all and we will continue keeping all of you in our prayers. Quote

I wil always remember her smile, hugs, warmth and love of family. She accepted and welcomed me as part of the family and I will always remember that. She was a very special lady. Although there is sorrow that she has left to go to her new home, I know that she is no longer in pain. #3 William & Peggy Kavi 2010-08-09 09:49 Todd, Reika & Kevin and the entire Bickel family. We were deeply saddened to hear about the loss of Michiyo. Although we haven't had the opportunity to spend alot of time with her. The time we did get to spend with her we immediately new she was a precious person. We don't know God's plan, but we are sure he has a special place in heaven for Michiyo. Todd, Reika & Kevin, she will always be alive in your heart. We didn't spend alot of time with her, but the time we did spend with her made it apparent that she was a precious person. We don't know God's plan, but we are sure she is with him. My heart goes out to you in this trying time. I did not know Michiyo well, but remember how darling she was at Gerald & Wendy's wedding. Sitting with Lillian and watching all the festivities, it was so obvious how Michiyo adored you Todd, and what a very beautiful girl she was.
I am so sorry I cannot attend the memorial service, but you all have been and will be in my thoughts and prayers.My deepest sympathy to all of you.
