You taught us so much, sometimes by what you said or did, and sometimes by what you didn't say or do. Whether taking us out fishing on the AuSable (remember 'worm island'?) or out sailing in the frigid waters of Lake Huron. I'm sure it wasn't too much fun for you capsizing the boat, only so we could learn how to react to adversity and keep a level head in an emergency. Its one of those 'life's lessons' a father passes to his children.
Dad, what moves us in losing you is quiet sadness. We remember not that you died, but that you lived life fully. You gave us so many memories too beautiful to forget.
