Walsh, Jerome, “Jerry” F. age 79, died at home on June 23, 2012.

Beloved and cherished husband of Rita for 55 years.

Loving father and proud grandfather of Sharon (Steve) Wineka and their children, Julie (Dan) Szlaga and Kelly. Deceased son, Patrick. Susan Nouman and her children, Kyle, Casey and Marcus. Sheila (Gurdev) Singh and her children Paul and James. Brian (Missy) Walsh and their children, James and Derek. Mike (Joice) Walsh.

Jerome was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Laura and brothers Bob and Jim. His mother-in-law and father-in-law, Frank and Genevieve Zella and his sister-in-law, Janice Antishin.

Jerome also leaves behind his sister-in-law, Barbara Zella and many nieces and nephews, his favorite dog, Daisy and many friends from Canadian Lakes, Michigan and The Villages, Florida where he lived.

Jerry loved the outdoors, especially fishing, hunting and golfing. He loved to walk the beaches and surf fish in Pensacola, FL and drive around in his golf cart with Rita and Daisy in The Villages, FL. His warm, funny sense of humor touched all that knew him. He had a soft place in his heart for animals, especially his pets over the years. He moved to Byron Center (Grand Rapids, MI) where he lived his last three years. His warm constant smile will be greatly missed.

Visitation at O’Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River Avenue, Novi, 248-348-1800 Wednesday June 27, 3pm – 8pm with a Prayer Service at 7pm.

Instate Thursday at Holy Family Catholic Church, 24505 Meadowbrook Road, Novi from 10:00 am until time of funeral liturgy 10:30 am.

I feel so blessed I had the opportunity to meet you both and some of your family while we lived as neighbors in the Villages. We have kept in touch all this time and Rita I know we will continue to.
