Aftercare/Bereavement Support

DrMichaelMeyer_smAftercare is a vital dimension of our service. We realize that grieving is a process that takes time and effort. In order to help families understand the grieving process, and the journey through it, we have a bereavement facilitator on staff, Dr. Michael Meyer, D. Min.

Dr. Meyer has served the families of the O’Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home since 1987 as a Bereavement Specialist. Dr. Meyer received his doctorate in ministry to those in grief from the Ecumenical Theological Seminary of Detroit in 1987.

Dr. Meyer provides monthly meetings, individual sessions, and the Annual Memorial Program held each December. The monthly meetings are held the third Tuesday of each month from 7:30pm until 9:00pm at the Novi Civic Center 41575 W. Ten Mile between the Novi Police Department and the Novi Library. For individual sessions call 1-248-348-1800 or email Dr. Meyer at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
